The Uberti single-action revoler in .45 Colt. The firing pin is affixed to the hammer and strikes the primer through a hole in the frame, unlike modern revolvers in where the hammer strikes a transfer bar which then acts upon the firing pin, and employs a block that is removed only when the trigger is pulled. In addition to lacking the transfer bar, it lacks linkage between hammer and trigger that allows it to be cocked with the trigger pull. Another deviation from modern revolvers is the cylinder does not swing out, instead the loading gate is opened, hammer brought to half-cock to allow the cylinder to spin freely, and loaded or unloaded.
